Gurcharan (Gurchi) Kadan is currently the Chief Executive Officer for Standard Chartered Bank, Oman, based in Muscat.
Gurchi has been with Standard Chartered for more than 25 years and has had extensive experience in several senior leadership, managerial and corporate banking assignments across various geographies in India, Africa, North East Asia, South East Asia and the Middle East.
Some of Gurchi’s former roles include Head of Transaction Bank in India, Global Head of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) based in Hong Kong, Corporate Head for Southern Africa covering the countries of Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa based out of Johannesburg and the Corporate Bank Head for Indonesia.
In his previous role before Oman he was the banks Regional Head for Network clients (Asia) living in Hong Kong. Prior to Standard Chartered Bank he worked for 5 years with BCCI Overseas Ltd based in Mumbai, India.
He holds a post graduate degree in Economics, is married with two daughters and an interest in financial instruments, golf, and reading.

Vipin Sondhi is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of JCB India, South East Asia and Pacific. Over the past 12 years, he has led the company's considerable growth in the Region. JCB has since established market leadership in the Construction Equipment Industry.
The Business in India, which includes the businesses in the South Asia Region generates revenues of $ 1.2 Billion and is a significant part of the JCB Group. During his time at JCB, the company has grown from one manufacturing facility to five world-class facilities at Delhi, Pune and Jaipur. The facility at Delhi is the world’s largest for Backhoe Loaders.
JCB India is today a Global Manufacturing hub for the JCB Group with cumulative exports to over 90 countries. It is transforming into a full range Infrastructure Equipment Partner with over 50 products in eight categories and has also pioneered the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Digital technology into its products.
Vipin Sondhi is an alumnus of The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, The Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and The Lawrence School, Sanawar; an institution where he learnt to “Never Give In”. By continually expanding the boundaries in both, academics and extra-curricular activities, The Lawrence School laid the foundation for holistic development helping him significantly during his Engineering and Management courses later on. The same principles of pushing boundaries and “Never Giving In” also helped him at JCB and in it becoming a leading company in the Manufacturing Industry in India.
He has over three decades of experience in Manufacturing and Engineering based companies such as Honda, Tata Steel and Tecumseh. (An American company which was the world’s largest manufacturer of compressors for refrigerators and air conditioners in its time).
He was appointed by the Government of India as the Chairperson, Board of Governors, of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Bhopal in December 2015. An elected member of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) National Council, he has been the Chairman of Excon, South Asia’s largest exhibition for Construction Equipment from 2006 to 2017.
He was also conferred with an Honorary Fellowship by the Centre for Excellence in Project Management (CEPM) in December 2017. He has been awarded The CEO of the Year Award at CEO India Awards in 2014; the Udyog Rattan Award by the Institute of Economic Studies in 2011 and the Young Manager’s Trophy by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in the year 2000.
Under his leadership, JCB India won the Frost & Sullivan India Manufacturing Excellence Award in 2016 and also the prestigious, CII Grand Innovation Leadership Award in 2016, which recognises initiatives in Innovation across Industry in India.
An avid golfer, he lives in Delhi with his wife and daughter.
MD, Pidilite Industries Ltd
Bharat Puri is currently the Managing Director of Pidilite Industries Ltd, having joined the Board of Pidilite Industries Ltd as an Independent Director in 2008 and being appointed Managing Director in April 2015.
Bharat was at school at the Lawrence School Sanawar, graduated in Commerce from Punjab University and completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Starting his career with Asian Paints in 1982, he rose to eventually heading Sales and Marketing for the company. He moved to Cadbury India as Director of Sales and Marketing in 1998, and was appointed its Managing Director in 2002. In 2006, he was posted to Singapore in a Regional role. He then held senior leadership positions in Sales, Marketing and General Management, at the regional, and global level, culminating in his becoming Global President, Chocolates, Gum and Candy, for Mondelez International. Bharat has been a successful global business leader who has built, energised and led diverse teams across numerous geographies in both developed and developing markets.
As a person, Bharat can be described as open, curious, fair with a strong bias for action and a strong belief in the power of teams.
Bharat is a keen sports fan. His idea of a good evening is spending time with family and friends. He is an avid reader who enjoys watching sport or films.
