"Shailendra Singh was a gentle and kind person. His passing is a great loss to the school and the batch of 94(Shiwalik House). While at Sanawar he modeled the school's finest values of resourcefulness and hard work. He was very good at mathematics and always willing to help others out with their work. Most importantly he had an innate ability to get along with everyone at school. He will be deeply missed. 

Shail as he was popularly known amongst our batch had been in Sanawar from 1989 to 1994. He was working as AGM with an underground mining firm Normet based at Jaipur for the last two years. He completed his graduation from Lucknow University and did his DME Mech from IERT Allahabad. He completed his technical education from BITs Pilani and PGDBA from Symbiosis Pune. He is survived by his wife Ruby Singh, his two daughters Kasha, Shagun, and a son Keshav. He was always happy to go guy with a lot of enthusiasm in his eye. During School days he was always in demand by our batch mates for his problem-solving skills in Maths and Physics particularly. He was a quiet guy who rarely got involved in any controversy in Sanawar. 

We again caught up with each other during our 25th year of passing out in October 2019. He was very happy to meet all our batch mates. We strolled down the lanes of Sanawar remembering our good old days of School. We had long night chats as I and Shail were sharing the same room. I was sure that he was totally a family man.

 After fighting with the struggling war with COVID 19, he finally gave up to the almighty’s wish on 22.04.2021. We pray to GOD to give enough strength to his family to bear this huge loss. 

Shail, my dear you would be missed by each one of us. Rest in peace. " - Pawan Pant and the Batch of 94'
